    St Clement’s Women’s Clubregular meetings, at 7 for 7.15pm, in the Village Hall.  Contact Mavis Beckett on 828563 or Carol Pollendine on 829626.

    Terrington St Clement Flower Club meets regularly in the Village Hall- contact Sue or Holly Atkin on 01553 828145 for details.

    Terrington Toddlers (0-5 years) meet on Wednesdays in the SureStart Children’s Centre, 101 Churchgateway, from 9.15am.  Parents, grandparents and carers welcome, have a tea or coffee and a chat while the children play.

    Charity Bingo is held regularly in the Village Hall and as well as providing a social gathering raises a great deal of money for various charities.  For enquiries, contact Julie Gant on 01553 828600.

    1st Terrington st Clement Rainbows ,Brownies, Guides and Freebridge Marshland Rangers. Girlguiding UK is for girls of 5-7 years (Rainbows ), 7-10 years (Brownies), 10-15 years (Guides) and  14 – 21 years (Rangers). These all run in the village on different evening of the week.      1st Terrington St Clement Beavers, boys and girls (6-8 years) meet on Fridays, 6.30-7.30pm.

    Cubs, boys and girls (8 – 10 years) meet on Wednesday 6.30-8.00pm,

  • Schools

    There are two state schools in the village, both on Churchgateway.  The Primary School- Terrington St Clement Community School- covers 3-11 year olds and currently has 374 pupils.  The school’s own website is at www.terrington-st-clement.norfolk.sch.uk and you can see an official overview of the school at http://schoolsfinder.direct.gov.uk/9262420/overview/ The school’s phone number is 01553 828348.

  • Sports Clubs

    Terrington St Clement has a number of thriving sports clubs and teams playing in local leagues.  There are two football clubs, the Terrington Tigers (which covers an age range of 8 – 16) and the adult football club, and clubs for cricket, tennis and bowls.  All play at the Memorial Field on Churchgateway.

    For enquiries about the Tennis Club and details of membership the contact is Mark Wilson at 11 Churchgateway, phone number 01553 829161 or 07984 429219.  Membership is £5 for under-16s, £25 for adults and there are discounts for families, those over 16 in full-time education and anyone unemployed.

    The King William Bowls Club welcomes those who can play and those who wish to learn- contact 827171 or 828656.

    The Short Mat Bowls Group

    meets in the Village Hall every Thursday between 7 and 10pm- new members are always to welcome to

  • Local Services

     

    Terrington St Clement Post Office – The Post Office has now relocated to Marshland Street offers a wide range of services in addition to the usual postal facilities.  These include car tax, free cash withdrawals for customers of a number of banks and building societies, foreign currency (pre-order), phone top-ups, bill payments and other financial services.

    The Mobile Library comes to the village every second Tuesday;  There are 12 stopping points around the village at various times from 9.40am to 4.20pm– see the Anchor magazine or contact Downham Market Library on 01366 383073 for details.  Additionally, there is a home library service for those who cannot access the normal library services.  Run by the WRVS and Norfolk County Council, books of your choice can be delivered to your home free of charge.  For more details contact the library on 01553 772568.

    Terrington Neighbourhood Police Team works with the local community to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour.  For non-emergencies they can be contacted on 101 or e-mail[email protected] The team is on duty from 08.00 to 24.00, 7 days per week.  For emergencies at all times, dial 999. The mobile police station visits the village regularly.
