Terrington is to stage a village pantomime this Christmas.  It will be Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and will be held in the Village Hall on 3,4 and 5 December (7.00pm each evening, with an extra matinee performance on the Saturday at 2pm).

Rehearsals are now well underway and so too are ticket sales.  Please book your tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.  Seats are numbered so the sooner you book, the better choice you will have.  Contact Lesley Wilson on 829161.

Prizes were awarded on Friday 11 September to the winners of the competitions at the Primary and High Schools to design the programme cover and panto advert- coverage will be in the Lynn News.  Click on the page listing to see the winning poster entry.

To help raise funds for the Panto, there are monthly quiz nights at The Wildfowler pub.  The first three have been very successful, both in terms of funds raised (about £450) and also as great nights out.  The next one is on 25 October (7 for 7.30pm); entry is £2 per person for teams of between 3 and 6 people and there will also be a raffle.

Proceeds from the Pantomime and other activities will go to the Terrington Community Fund, constituted to provide wider community activities in the village and to meet the needs of indivdual local people where these cannot be met through normal state funding.

Following further fund-raising the Village Hall now has a modern kitchen and this was formally opened by the Mayor on Friday 11 September.  Further upgrades are planned to carpets, curtains etc, for this well-used village facility.

Construction work on the new pavilion for the Memorial Field is now due to be completed by the end of October. The old building will be demolished soon.  The structure includes modern changing, showering and toilet facilities, a kitchen and a meeting room.  The pavilion committee, all local volunteers, have secured funding of about £340,000 for this project which will give Terrington a facility of which it can be proud and which is more fitting to the size of our village.  This committee is now looking at other projects on the Memorial Field to provide further and better facilities for the village, in particular a new children's play area and assisting with the proposed skate park facility.  The Annual General Meeting of the PPACT committee will be held on Tuesday 20 October at 7.30pm in the Methodist Hall.  At this meeting the new officers and members of the committee will be elected and the ongoing role of the committee will be discussed and agreed.  Parishioners are welcome to attend.  Prospective new committee members should make their interest known by 13 October- please e-mail the address below.
